YTD NFL record: 6-9 ATS.

I feel very refreshed after taking a few months off. Here are the games I'm on this week:

Cowboys +6
Buccaneers +1.5
Dolphins +3.5 (-120)
Broncos -2

Sometimes there's a fine line (or a bad ref) between winning and losing. But you seem to have a decent handle on NFL.

Good luck with your picks this weekend. Cowboys look good, Dolphins will win SU.

no disrespect lou but the only one i like is the broncs and my jury is stil out on the eagles though i am leaning toward them this week..it seems i nail the pats ATS every week but i keep missing out on the eagles "smoke and mirrors " routine..now watch as the week i jump aboard is the same one where they derail.

Lou, I agree with all but the Broncs. They are out of linebackers...which could lead to KC putting up some big passing yards, and take Denver out of their running game by halftime.

Kansas City will win again in Denver, but I don't think they will go all the way in the playoffs.

Eagles come into this one on a seven game winning streak but a look inside the numbers shows a disturbing trend as they have been outrushed in six of those seven wins having allowed four straight 100 yard rushers the last four weeks. While they are streaking right now I actually have them rated 14 points lower then their power rating number after their first 12 games from last season.

Cowboys enter this game off a 40-21 loss to the Dolphins on Thanksgiving Day. One thing Bill Parcells coached teams do is play well after a big loss. During his career as an NFL head coach Parcells has only lost 16 games in which his team allowed 34 points or more (not counting strike games). His record in games following a loss allowing 34 points or more is 7-7-1. But when you look at those losses only one of them was decided by more then six points, which is the spread for Sundays game.

Anyone that has followed Parcells throughout his career knows he absolutely LOVED to coach in Philadelphia. It was his favorite place to go on the road because he thrived on the Philly hatred. He will have his team ready for this one. Dallas +6.

One thing I have noticed about Saints QB Aaron Brooks is he always seems to follow up a good game with a mediocre one. Since he became the full time starter in Week 13 of the 2000 season, the Saints have gone 0-7 SU & ATS the week after a SU win in which Brooks has a personal +3 TD/INT ratio or better. This week they face the Bucs who have triple revenge against the Saints. They have also gone 4-1 SU & ATS as dogs under Jon Gruden. Tampa plus the points.

Anyone remember the last two games in this series? New England squeaked out back to back overtime wins after trailing at halftime in both games and being outrushed 353-175.

Miami has looked like a completely different team since Fiedler replaced Griese two weeks ago against the Redskins, scoring 54 points in their last 5 quarters. They look to be peaking late in the season for a change while New England is overdue for a loss. Their current eight game regular season winning streak passed the former franchise record of seven straight regular season wins, accomplished in 1978, 1986 & 1994. Dolphins get revenge in snowy New England.

The Chiefs head into their last conference game of the 2003 season with a 10-1 record against AFC opponents. Over the past 15 seasons only six teams have finished the regular season with an 11-1 conference record.

In order to join that club they will have to beat the Broncos in Denver. Expect a heavy dose of RB Clinton Portis, who has eight 100 yard rushing games this season, against the Chiefs rushing defense which allows 4.9 ypr.

Denver had this team on the ropes back in Week Five until Dante Hall's punt return for a TD midway through the fourth quarter, which shouldn't have counted due to an illegal block in the back which wasn't called. Denver knows they can hang with this team and will do just that on Sunday.

I like your analysis on Brooks and Saints. Bucs are just hard for me to bet knowing they have gone in the tank just like Rams last year at the end of the season on road. Still tough to pull trigger on Bucs.

Good analysis. But you probably would be better off leaving out the part in the kc/denver game about the illegal block that wasn't called. Gimme a break. If I had a dime for every call that doesn't get called... I would have put a lot more on lsu tonight. GL tomorrow.

I'm on Denver too . I don't see KC as a 11-1 team , as a matter of fact , I think their record should not be better than 8-4 . Can't ride the Bucs though, not sure if they still have the hearts of a champ .

Good luck this week

Andy
